Defenders of the Past – More Info

Description:

This participatory program is conducted by two actors in-role, using drama conventions and theatre-in-education techniques to encourage students to consider the relevance of remembering and preserving the past. The programme uses role, objects and the historic site, in a fictive context, to bring the past into focus.

Minimum 2 classes.

Time:

This is a half day participatory program. We suggest that the other half of the day could be used for one of the following activities in the loal area:

  • Courier Mail Tour
  • Port of Brisbane Tour
  • Brisbane Airport Tour

  • interpreting physical and documentary evidence to learn about the past
  • considering changes in the world and the impact of these changes
  • considering changes in technology and the impact of these changes
